P.M.E.S.INFORMATION for Running .

These are the dimentions that are used in the building of Club Rolling Stock .

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Pietermaritzburg Model Engineering Soceity has a Multi-Gauge track , being 7.1/4" (184mm) ,5" (127mm) and 3.1/2" (89mm).

The track is made of 25*10 mm(1.3/8") mild steel bar, screwed on wooden sleepers , laid on ballast.

The 3.1/2" track is only in the inner oval , which is also the short run for the 5" and 7.1/4" gauges.

The Air fittings at PMES are of the ARO Female type . You need a male connection on your air line .

Bring your own Blower , air duster , parafin gun , as they will fit your hose and make your running more enjoyable.

The water connection is of Gardenia type .
